More Mondrian and The Taste of Clarkston

A kindergarten lesson I do every year. I decided at one school to have the students fill in the spaces with washable markers and then let the students use water to "Color" the space. At the other school I used Alphacakes and I definitely like the painted lesson much better.

TASTE OF CLARKSTON!!

My Boys enjoying the great food!

  1. What is an alphacake? Is it gouache? tempera?

    Thank you!

  2. Aka, Alpha or Biggies. They are tempera and really last a long time. I'm just replacing a set I've used for five years with over 500 students. It's a big investment at first but last. They're like watercolors and you have to let them sit out and dry with the lids off overnight. Here's the link to School Specialty/Saxs, where I order them. okay the link is not working, but if you google Sax or school specialty, then paint you should find them.
